The Gift of Great Health

Less than a year ago I had severe fatigue on a very consistent basis. My quality of life was not what I expected and I thought how can this be my life, this is terrible, this isn't fair. I spent a lot of time sleeping due to extreme exhaust and couldn't have much of a social life. My daughter on many occasions had to make me dinner or clean up after a meal because I just couldn't do it. As a parent that was very hard to have my daughter doing things for me that I should have been able to do for her. Every day tasks like laundry were so difficult for me because not only was there fatigue but right along with that was the most extreme joint pain. Some mornings it was all I could do to have a little bit of breakfast and go right back to bed. Not to mention not being able to do the things with my daughter that she wanted me to do. It was terrible. I thought what is wrong with me, but had no desire to pursue the necessary medical attention because I was just too tired. I did work of course but it was frequently interupted by my fatigue.

Over the course of the past 81/2 months my life has improved more than I ever could have imagined. I have had less and less fatigue and as most of you know my energy level shot up on the fisrt day I took my supplements and it has increased ever since. I have done things I thought would be impossibe with the state of my health. I am able to do my daily activities and have an active social life. I have even had to change my way of thinking. First I had to learn that no amount of supplementation will change the fact that I am human and have physical limitations. The second was that I no longer have to fear what most people call a normal schedule. I used to limit myself quite a bit because if I pushed myself to the  "norm" I would pay dearly for it. Now I am able to say yes to things that I couldn't have done in the past and that believe it or not takes a lot of getting used to.

I have been absolutely fatigue free for a few months now. It's been amazing! My joint pain has not visited me in quite some time either. I have a new life and I am so happy!

My supplements have changed my life and if you're ready for a new life it's ready for you!

Who Can You Help?

When I first started taking Shaklee products as you know I was a skeptic. That has completely changed. I believe in the products and the company 100%! That is of course why I joined the Shaklee family and work hard every day to spread the word.

Oh, I know that I can go anytime to You Tube and search for testimonials and find plenty. People who were devastated by severe health issues. But when you meet people and hear their stories in person it hits you that much harder.

The stories of improved health are truly staggering! I know that I feel so much better and can say how I felt before and all that good stuff but to hear the stories of people with such profound health improvement is beyond great! I think of my family members and friends who are not nearly as sick as most of these people and think wow their health can really change! The hardest and saddest part is when people don't want to hear it or don't believe it. You are devastated when that happens but you can't make people listen. All I can do is focus on the great stories that I've heard, pray that people will listen and keep going.

I have heard stories that would make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. I have heard so many stories that I am not really surprised anymore but I am always encouraged and motivated by these stories. These are stories that make you cry and make you laugh and really just continue to keep it fresh in my mind so that I keep moving forward and I am always thinking of someone new.

If you had a great gift like this who would you help? Who do you know that really needs a miracle in their health? This gift is for real, what will you do with it?

Dare to Dream Big!

In a time of economic despair what can we really hope for? Is it safe to dream? To want more? Without dreams where would we be? What would America be? Without dreams we wouldn't drive or fly or step foot on the moon! Without dreams the hungry would stay hungry and the unsaved would remain lost. Without dreams we are nothing!

I have recently had the dreams in my heart rekindled. The dream to travel, the dream to help others, the dream to hug the little ones who otherwise would never know love. The dream to make a differnce in this life and the next.

I am starting off small but I am aiming big! Today I was inspired by a picture of the view from Bora Bora. A trip that can be earned by business owners like myself from Shaklee. Those who earned the trip this year are there now having a great time, sending back pictures and videos of their experience. I am aiming at the big trip to Africa next year! How does this trip relate to my dreams? Well when I earn that trip, I will be able to go out on an excursion with  Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Dr. Wangari Maathai, to participate in a special humanitarian project.. When I earn that trip I will put an African child through school for a year. When I earn that trip I will have also earned the funds necessary to help the widow and the orphan financially. When I earn that trip I can......

The trip to Africa is a symbol of what I can do when I dream big. What are your dreams? Have they been put on the back burner? Have they been all but forgotten? Stop right now and remember those dreams. Really! Close your eyes and think about it and how it will change the world around you. Don't give up! Fan the flame and dare to dream big!

Talk about your dreams. Make them a reality again, tell them to everyone and move forward toward those dreams! I would love to hear about your dreams! Please leave me a comment and tell me all about them!

Who Do I Work With?

Recently I was able to go to the Shaklee 2011 Global Conference. I must say I wasn't going to go and I was very dissapointed but it just wasn't going to work. My team insisted that I go and they made sure I went. If it hadn't been for them I couldn't have gone. They are quite a blessing to me and I am glad to know and work with them. This is just one example of the kind of people I work with.

I was able to meet so many people who have the same vision I have. Not only that but all of the Shaklee speakers echoed that same vision. I felt at home there, like I belonged with these people and was even more motivated to share my story and this amazing company.

What is the common denominator within the Shaklee Family (That's right I said family)? This is a community of people who care about others. A group of people who have enjoyed improved health and know that there is hope for everyone and want to be sure that no one is missed that everyone can feel better and we want to tell everyone.

I know that I work with a special kind of people and a special kind of company. We all have dreams of improved health and finances and want to share that with as many people that will let us.

Commander Mark Kelly

Commander Mark Kelly Spoke at our 2011 Global Conference in August. He was such an inspiring speaker. He told us that he wasn't exactly the best pilot when he started out but that "how good you are in the beginning is not an indicator of how well you can do." He told us about his landings on aircaract carriers that were less than spectacular but now he has done it over 300 times. He has been recognized numerous times for his outstanding achievements, piloted the Discovery and Endeavour and as I'm sure you know he piloted the Endeavour's last flight.

So I guess what I got out of it was that even though we may have less than spectacular days or get off to a rocky start, don't give up! Keep going and reach your full potential!

Oh by the way, what supplements does Commader Mark Kelly use? That's right! That's our Vitalizer in that picture!

Never Again!

I have been taking my Shaklee supplements faithfully since April and have been feeling great! Recently due to a busy schedule and poor planning I ran out. I didn't just run out of this or that, I ran out of everything! How could this be? This can't possibly be right! Oh, I know at this point I am going to suffer but have no idea how much.

If you have have read my previous posts you know that I have eliminated insomnia, chronic joint pain, asthma, allergies, midnight potty breaks and chronic fatigue to name just a few. Well despite the fact that I ran out of all but one supplement shortly after getting back from our Global Conference I was doing pretty good for a while. A trip like that would normally cause me to relapse into the dismal world of chronic fatigue but this was the first time in a long time that I didn't really pay for such a trip with lots of time sleeping to recover. It felt great! For a while. The fatigue did creep in about a week later when I was out of my supplements. An hour nap almost everyday, the joint pain was starting to creep back in and so were the late night potty breaks which did interfere with my sleep. While the fatigue before would have been rmuch worse I did not enjoy revisiting that place.

While at our conference I had frequently forgotten to take my Zantac for my ulcers. Now if you have or have ever had ulcers you know that you don't forget. If you forget you have pain. I didn't. For the first time I didn't have pain and reflux! It was great! And short lived. I found that without my supplements that also creeped back in very quickly. I felt so bad like I had really harmed myself and it could have been prevented. I am restocked and most of my symptoms have subsided.

One of the most interesting things that happened to me while off the supplements was the change in my mood. I found that I was crabby and that my overall outlook was not too cheery. It was very slight but I noticed it. I didn't like it and I was glad that it was quickly gone when I got back to the supplements.  I was glad I was able to identify that it was due to the lack of supplements otherwise I fear that may have spiraled a little.

I felt it was really important to blog about this so I never forget how I felt without the stuff that keeps me going. Never again!

Who's That Girl?

Anyone who really knows me is going to get a real kick out of this post. Why? Because anyone who knows me would never describe me as perky or chipper. Anyone who knows me knows how much I hate the heat, especially when it's humid. Humidity to me is like hot, wet death. I can't stand it! It makes me feel terrible, sluggish, fried and lazy. Get the picture?

Keep in mind when I started this blog it was because I was trying out the Shaklee products and wanted to keep a record of what I tried and how it worked along with my health and whether or not it improved. My overall health and attitude have changed drastically! How drastically? Well I had a conversation with someone recently and was telling her how much better I felt since starting with Shaklee. She said she could see the difference in me, that before I had a very laid back type of personality and now I am way more perky. I was shocked when she said that. We don't spend a ton of time together but do see each other very often. Let me tell you no one in my life has EVER called me perky! That's like calling Donald Trump funny or Simon Cowell nice! Is the new me perky? Am I more chipper and fun loving? I sure feel different.

Another iteresting experience happened yesterday. It was sunny, hot and humid, mind you not as hot as it has been it was a cool 90 degrees or so and very humid. I had a long morning and came home but still felt great. I had all this energy that I just had to burn off so I decided to go for a walk. WHAT?! Why on Earth would I even think that, let the words come out of my mouth and then actually act on it. That can't be what happened! I should have talked myself right out of that! But, I didn't. Not only did I want to got for a walk in the heat but I wanted to do it with purpose and effort. Who is this person thinking these ridiculous things?! Not me! But it was me and I did go. I started out with a run up the hill then decided to walk the mile trail as quickly as I could and actually followed through! Who is this person?! I walked (with my 10 yr old partner) the mile trail around the lake in 18 minutes! I know it's no record or anything but it was quite an achievemnet for me. I don't do heat let alone exert myself in any way in it. It actually felt good! Is this what it feels like to be healthy? It's been so long I don't remember, but I like it!

Alfalfa

What is Alfalfa besides a character on The Little Rascals or sprouts that you can put on salad or sandwiches? I am sure some of my readers don't even know who the Little Rascals are! Well Alfala is a plant that is chock full of nutrients. Its roots go way down into the soil where other plants don't go.

When I heard about all of the wonderful things that Alfalfa can help with I thought I would give the supplement a try. For me in particular I wanted to see if it would help with my allergies and stomach problems.

So I have been taking it for about a month and thought well, I don't really know if this is helping me or not so I am going to stop taking it and see what happens. It was only a day or 2 when I noticed that my nasal congestion had returned. Not to mention I totally forgot that I am at my daughter's soccer games twice a week with no allergic reactions whatsoever! I haven't noticed that my stomach problems have resumed but the congestion alone is worth the effort of taking the supplements for me. I'll be getting right back into that routine today!

A Morning Without My Shake

So I have been having a Cinch Meal Replacement Shake every morning for the past month or so. It has been wonderful. It holds me over better than any thing else I could have for breakfast, aside from a large heavy meal. I feel great all morning and usually have small snacks through out the afternoon instead of a big lunch.

This morning I was out of my shake mix and had a regular breakfast and boy do I regret it. I had often thought if I want something other than my shake for breakfast that I should just have it for lunch or dinner but don't skip my shake. Well, I was right. I am regretting it today. I don't have as much energy as I usually do and was hungry shortly after breakfast. What did I eat? A whole wheat bagel and a fruit smoothie. Tasty yes, the right choice...no. I won't do that again!

Pay Day Yay!

When I first heard about Shaklee I was in very poor health and wanted to make a change in my life. Not only in my health but also financially. I love the products and can't imagine that I would ever stop using them. When my friend and I first discussed Shaklee I needed a change. she told me how much better she was feeling and that she was making money too. Well, I wanted desperatly to feel better and was kind of interested in the financial opportunity. When she told me I could earn a car too that really interested me as mine really is old, but I can't afford to replace it. So after hearing about all of the ways I could earn money with Shaklee and having tried and loved the products, I was in.

When I started to feel better I started to think about my friends and family and the better life I wanted for them too. I shared my progress with them in the hopes that they could also get healthy. I love telling people about these products beacause they are amazing. For me it really was a gift and I love sharing that gift. I have had people purchase the products from me and love them enough to become regular customers and also start enjoying better health.

I not only use the vitamins and supplements but I also use the cleaning products. They are the best I have ever used. So I have purchased quite a bit of stuff. When my friends and family purchase their products from me I get a commission but not only do I earn based on their purchases but on mine too. So when I shop for myself I earn some of my money right back! How can I beat that? Wal Mart doesn't give me anything for shopping there and neither does any one else for that matter! Oh sure I can get one of those little punch cards at some places but what do I get? 10% off my purchase when my card is full....if I don't lose it. With Shaklee I get cold, hard cash!

When I joined as a distributor I purchased a Gold Kit. I got a ton of stuff in that kit along with a certificate for $100! I also got credit for that kit and will get paid commission on that kit. So I recently recieved my first check. I was so excited! So wait a minute, I bought stuff to make me feel a million times better, to clean my home without chemicals, I shared these wonderful products with my freinds and family and I get a check?! Not only did I get a check but I made more than the intitial investment the Gold Kit cost me! I could really get used to this! So wait....can I earn a real income this way? Yes! Thousands of people are already doing just that! Not just people I will never meet or maybe I'll see them in a video or pictures. These are people that I can see and touch and actually talk to. People who have a great income, who have earned cars and trips. I am going all out to earn an income through Shaklee! I want all that they have to offer., income, car, trips I'm going for it. Now you don't have to buy a kit and you don't have to go all out. You can spend a small amount of money for basic memberships that both give you a commission and don't give you acommission. One mebership will earn you some basic commission and there is one that will just afford you the discounted price on products you purchase. For me I know I have lots of people I plan to share this with and I love what this company is doing and how they do it so I am all in!

Convention!

Let me start out by telling you what convention is. As you know I am a home schooling mom and convention comes around once a year. It's wonderful! It's a time of encouragement and confirmation that rejuvinates home school families. This convention spans 3 days. It consists of hour long sessions from morning til night. The first day starts off at 12 and I am usually there untill around 6 for classes and then maybe off to shop. I don't do the evening classes. The next 2 days are from about 8-6. There are classes on everything from high school transcripts to why Johhny hates to read. We have great speakers who come from all over to teach and encourage us. We also get updates on the government and home school. It is a jam packed 3 days. There is also a massive vendor hall that fills a large gymnasium. We shop and are able to look at the things we are interested in to see if it fits our needs. So for 3 days we run from class to calss and through the vendor hall a million times. These are 3 very long days.

I look forward to this every year even though I know it will take its toll. Usually well into the second day I am getting pretty worn out and really just fried. As I run into friends who are also on their second day they also have that dazed, glazed over look and we still have one more day to go! By the 3rd day I am exhausted! I am not getting as much out of it as I would like but I stay to the very end. Then it's time to get my daughter, pack up and go home. We saty with family for the 3 days and when I'm done I usually pack up quickly and get moving towards home totally wiped out. Not only am I tired but my knees, back and hips would have been quite painful right from the first day.

So knowing this would be a busy couple of days I was armed with the Shaklee products I knew I wanted. I of course had my Vitalizer, Vivix, Cinch Shakes for breakfast, Energy Tea and my Energy Chews. All but the Energy Chews I have been using for about a month or so. So first day in was great! I felt great and didn't even think twice about it. Went back to our home for the weekend and had a great dinner visited and even worked on a project that evening without much concern or feeling too tired. Now usualy by  the time I get back "home" after convention each day I want desperatly to vist with the family I am staying with but that is always cut short by my exhaustion. So this time around was really nice. I was able to visit and still get up early enough to be on time every day. The second day was great! I didn't feel like a deer caught in the headlights and made it through the day without feeling tired at all. The third day was also good I was able to concentrate and still get a lot out of the sessions. I did rely on a couple of Energy Chews on the 3rd day as sitting in the sessions for about an hour was starting to catch up with me. Those kept me from feeling tired and gave me the focus I needed. I was still feeling great and as I ran off to one of my last few classes I was heading down the stairs (the first time I needed to through out the whole 3 days) and as I braced my self to go down the stairs I realized I didn't need to. Oh Joy! No pain! I went all 3 days and never even noticed! I had no knee, back or hip pain! The stairs were a breeze! HOORAY!!! I was so elated at that point, it was just amazing. My life is truly different now. The day didn't end there. Oh no, I went back "home" after the day at convention was done and ended up staying and visiting late into the evening. My daiughter and I left there and went out to eat then home. It was great. I was tired when I got home. But it was great to make it through that without feeling exhaused and in constant pain.

As if that weren't enough, the convention took place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Saturday before I left for Arkansas with friends it was a 10 hour drive(12 for us). From the time we got there we did so many fun activities we were always doing something! We stayed until Tuesday and made our 12 hour drive back. I got in around 9pm. Wednesday I unpacked did 3 loads of laundry up and down 2 flights of stairs repacked and shopped. Thursday off to convention! What a great week powered by Shaklee!

30 Day Checklist

Since the very first day I took my Shaklee supplements I noticed a big difference. I attended a seminar a few weeks ago and one of the speakers said to make a list of all of the ailments that you have when you first start out on the products and check back on that list every 30 days. I thought wow that's a great idea! So I wrote everything down that I could think of. Here's most of my list. I'll spare you some of the gorey details and not list everything.

insomnia
up 2-3 times a night for bathroom
low energy
easily irritated
extreme fatigue-in bed every few days due to exhaustion
pain in knees
pain in hips
back pain
ulcers
gall stones
fatty liver
shoulder pain
frequent stomach upset
poor mood
allergies
asthma attacks

Here is my list at the 30 day mark:

insomnia GONE
up 2-3 times a night for bathroom GONE
low energy GONE
easily irritated GONE
extreme fatigue-in bed every few days due to exhaustion GONE
pain in knees REDUCED
pain in hips REDUCED
back pain REDUCED
ulcers STILL THERE
gall stones STILL THERE
fatty liver STILL THERE
shoulder pain GONE
frequent stomach upset GONE
poor mood GONE
allergies REDUCED
asthma attacks REDUCED

I am not really taking anything specific to these ailments. Just a vitamin mixture called the Vitalizer, it contains a multi vitamin, b complex and omegas, I later added in the Cinch meal replacement shakes and the anti-aging product called VIVIX. So I am not taking something for joint pain, allergies, insomnia etc. The supplements I am taking just seemed to improve most of my complaints. It's good stuff!

The Fog Has Lifted

I have been taking Shaklee supplements since early April and they have really changed my life! I must say I did not have a healthy life style. I didn't always eat the best food or get enough exercise. So I know I was in a really bad place with my health. The reason I say this is because not everyone is going to have the dramatic results that I've had. Although most people I talk to do see an obvious difference.

The difference in my health has been obvious to those around me. I feel great and everyone can tell. At first it was very obvious that these supplements were really making a difference and I was so happy. I have continued to add things in slowly and continue to see a difference. Not the huge change I saw in the beginning but important changes. I now sleep all night and get up early, sometime between 4 and 6 every morning. I have the stamina to make it through the day and not give the time I got up a second thought! I also just feel like I am getting back to being me. I fell like a fog has been lifted and I have been living in a daze for years! I am just in such a great mood, able to joke around with my daughter and just have fun with her.

This past month or so has really been an eye opening experience and I can't wait to see how my health continues to improve.

Aches & Pains

Since I have started taking the Vitalizer I have noticed that my usual aches and pains have all but disapeared. I have also heard from my son who is taking the Vita-Lea vitamins that his back pain is gone. His back was injured in a car accident a few years ago and he has had back pain ever since. My mom has also been able to get around much easier and after sitting for long periods of time is able to get up and moving without the usual stiffness and pain.

Again I must stress that I don't believe that this is a miracle cure by any stretch of the imagination and may not have the same affects on everyone. I know that I had a serious lack of the right nutrients in my body and that may be part of why my experience has been so drastic. I will continue to try new products in the Shaklee line and report truthfully.

The Shake

Okay so I have the meal replacement shakes and thought I'd give it a try. I have to admit I didn't love the taste. While I do know people who like the shakes and make no changes, I thought hmm, I could really pass on these. I gave it another try today and mixed it in the blender with banana and strawberries. It was delicious! I was so happy! Hey, it was so good my 10 year old daughter even drank it! We actully split it. She was full all morning! That was it nothing else for her untill much later. I did have a bagel about 2 hours later. Then we hiked for about 45 minutes. After the hike I had some small snacks and some energy tea. That was about 11:30. It's just about 2 and I just had a cutie. It has really kept me going all day! I am again very impressed!

Moving On

Okay so I have been pretty impressed with the vitamins, tea, bars etc. Now I am moving on to the H2 cleaning solution.

I just got it yesterday and couldn't wait to try it this morning. I mixed it up and it was 16oz of water to 1/4 tsp of solution! Really? This is gonna work? Hmmmm.... we'll just see about that! So I Start with the easy stuff kitchen table, counter and sink. Pretty good no biggie though, well it did get the crud off the faucet with no real effort. Ya know the water deposits and stuff. So okay I usually have to put a little elbow grease into it, but not this time. BUT, will it clean my walls? You see we have white walls, and not just white but flat white. Did it do the trick? Oh yeah! it even cleaned the scuff marks off the wall!

So am I impressed? Uh... yeah! Not even the Magic Eraser could do that! I tried time and time again with that thing. Plus the H2 is non-toxic unlike the eraser which contains lye. And way less expensive? I have 16 oz of the solution which can makes a whopping 48 gallons of super awesome cleaner!  I cant wait to try it on my windows and stove and my car and.......

It's Official!

Today is the day! It's official, I am a Shaklee Distributor! It's been one month since I first heard about Shaklee and wow has my life changed! Since I have started using the products all I have wanted to do is share how great I feel and help my friends and family to feel better. I wanted to spread the good health I have been enjoying.

Today I can actually sell these great products and spread the health! My website is ready and you can search and research the wonderful products there. I am so happy that I get to be a part of this wonderful company! I know that most of my focus has been on the nutritional supplements but there are other great products as well. Weight loss, clean home and beauty products are the others offered. All of these products are safe for you and the environment so please take a look.

Now I didn't take this on without a little research. Actully I did a lot of research and really found that this is the kind of business I can be proud of. I of course found everything I could that Shaklee had to say about itself but I really wanted honest opinions from people and organizations that are totally separate from Shaklee. I found out more great things about Shaklee than I could have imagined and was very pleased.

I also have found myself in a great circle of Distributors who are passionate about helping others get healthy. I am looking forward to getting to know them better and growing our businesses together.

If you have any questions about the products or the oppuruntiy please contact me.

Here's to your health!

I'm no super hero!

I posted on Friday that I had planned to really push myself this weekend while fueled by Shaklee. It was a great start. I had a busy day Friday topped off by a long evening at a concert. Errands and such on Saturday with a meeting Saturday evening. 2 church services on Sunday and my event that afternoon had been cancelled which worked out great because I was pooped!!

I relaxed on the couch after lunch on Sunday and felt like a nap. I slept for 2 hours! I have always had a habit of pushing myself until I drop, healthy or not! Now that I am feeling so well I have really been pushing myself and need to balance that out.

Did the products help? Absolutely! Will they make me a super hero? Uh... NO! I guess I was feeling so great I forgot that. Now I will be working on my terrible habit of going until I drop. That combined with my new found vitality should have great results!

Late Night!

So last night I went to a concert and had a great time. It was like a four hour marathon of standing singing clapping etc. Got home around midnight bed by 1. I slept like a rock and woke up a little before 9 and stayed in bed til almost 10! A REALLY late morning for me.

I got up and got breakfast and saw the coffe pot on, hmmmmm.... I thought I'd really like a cup of coffee. That's the first time I really thought about it in weeks. I really shouldn't because of my ulcers so I didn't give in. Plus I really want to see if my vitamins and energy tea can sustain me this weekend. I'm having my tea now and took my vitamins with my breakfast. I'll let you know how it goes.

A True Challenge

This weekend is going to be the test. A true challenge. I have a lot planned and normally I would be quite concerned about it. But I have been feeling so great that I know it will be a piece of cake.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday I have tons to do. A full day everyday! This is way more than I usuallly do. Oh, I always may make big plans but usually something has to give and I have to cancel something. I have high hopes for this weekend and I will be sure to write all about it on Monday.

Attitude

The way you feel sure has a lot to do with your attitude. When I was really sick before I knew about my ulcers I was miserable, and it showed. When you are in pain or feel lousy you just don't care. I didn't want to go out most of the time and my overall attitude was not that good. After the ulcers started to heal I felt like a million bucks! Most of my symptoms were going away including the joint pain that seemed to accompany my ulcers. I had a whole new outlook on life. I was able to get up and get my breakfast without pain and get things done around the house without the constant joint pain.

Now that I have been taking the vitamins for a while I see that difference again. I have like I said not been a ball of energy or anything but I can go all day and really enjoy myself. That is definitely reflected in my attitude. I have a much better dispotion and I can see how my my attitude has changed. I really am happier just because I feel better.

I used to be so restricted and I was really starting to think of myself as lazy. I would be at the computer and would maybe need something in another part of the room and would just totally put off what I was doing so I wouldn't have to get up. Maybe I didn't feel like doing the dishes or laundry because I was tired. I really thought, what happened to me? Now I can just get the stuff done without giving it a second thought, and let me tell you that feels good! I have a spring in my step and I really love it!

Great weekend

This weekend was absolutely amazing! It was very full and enjoyable. I was able to do so much this weekend and feel great the whole time!

On Friday I trimmed a family members hair AND did laundry. That alone would have been quite a lot for me, but I went on with some errands and then visited with family for a few hours then off to our Good Friday service at church. Now pre Shaklee I would have pushed myself to the family visit and I know for a fact I wouldn't have made it to a late church service. But I did and I enjoyed it and still felt great afterwards. Now it didn't end there. I continued shopping and going to the movies on Saturday, then church and a family get together on Sunday. I felt great the whole time. Now don't get me wrong I wasn't bouncing off the walls or anything, I just felt good. Normal, not exhausted and waiting and wanting to hit the pillow.

My sister and niece both said they could see a real difference in me. I understand this because I have seen it too in others. I saw someone less than a week after she started the Shaklee vitamins and she was simply beaming. I was so amazed at the way she looked! Healthy and happy.

I know that maybe this comes across as some kind of miracle, it's not. My diet and health were so poor that actually getting all the nutrients my body had been lacking for so long really did make a huge improvement in my overall health. I was just existing and trying to eat heathy meals and take supplements but it just wasn't enough. I am so thankful that my friend shared this with me. It really has changed my life. Just this weekend while I was enjoying being out and not feeling so drained I thought wow I can't believe this is me, I can't believe this is actually my life! I honestly felt like I had just one the lottery or something. It is that life changing! Maybe it won't be so profound for everyone but for me I am so thankful that I was introduced to these products.

Take it early!

Okay, so let me give you a little backround on my sleep habits. Not being a naturally energetic person, I am usually in bed no later than 10:00 and a lot of times I am sleping by 9-9:30. I am usually up around 7:30. I rarely stay up late. Well yesterday I was feeling so good I stayed up untill about 11. I just did't want to go to sleep. I knew that would backfire so I forced myself. I am so glad I did! I woke up before 4:00 this morning! I tried to get back to sleep but that didn't happen until about 5 and then I got up at 6:30. I gave in and got out of bed because I didn't feel tired. I am feeling a little sleep deprived now but physiaclly I feel good. Today I made sure to take my vitamins early so hopefully it won't affect my sleep tonight. I also spoke to my son who took his first dose of vitamins yesterday with lunch. He was up until 2AM! In talking to the friend who told me about Shaklee I found out that someone elsse took them later in the day and also had a very late night.

Now don't get me wrong, it's not like you drank a pot of coffe and have the shakes and want to jump out of your skin. You're just not tired. There is no yucky jittery feeling or anything like that at all. You just aren't sleeepy. I'll see how things go today.

SOLD!!!!

What a great day! This morning I took the Vitalizer vitamins and wow! After a morning of the usual stuff at home Nel and I decided to make our way to the zoo and enjoy the nice weather. Well, in the back of my mind I'm thinking okay if this stuff is really as good as everyone says it is this will be the test. Yes I know it's just the first day but what the heck, and if it doesn't hold up at least I know there is still hope. You see a trip to the zoo means nothing else is getting done that day and I will be in bed resting or napping as soon as I get home. Now keep in mind we don't hang out all day or anything. We go for 2 or 3 hours tops and I'm toast. Well, today I made 2 pit stops before the zoo (one to drop off vtamins to my sick son). We went to the zoo and enjoyed ourselves for the usual short period of time and left. We then proceeded to make 3 more stops! By the third stop my daughter begged me to leave the store and go home because she was sooo tired! Wow! Can you believe that? I outlasted my 10 year old daughter! She then proceeded to nap on the ride home. I felt great!!! We got home at about 4:30 and I still had energy to burn! This is huge for me! I mean I just don't do that. I did a few things around the house and watched a movie with Nel. I still feel great. I'm getting a little tired, but I'm not feeling that dreaded exhaustion that I normally do. Oh and by the way, my son texted me to tell me he feels "righteous". :)

Today is the day

Okay, so I have tried the tea and decreased my coffee intake, tried the immune booster and I am back on my feet, but today is the day I have been waiting for. I am now armed with the VITALIZER! This is a combination of multi vitamins, vitamins B+C, Omegas, and a probiotic. I have heard all there is to hear about these vitamins and I am ready to judge for myself. Here goes.....

Hmmmm....

Okay so today I am feeling pretty darn good! I feel full of energy and have a little spring in my step. So, the question is, is it due at all to the immune booster or is this how I would have felt any way at this point? I don't know the answer to that question but I am sure willing to keep trying these produsts and see how I feel in a few weeks. :)

My Challenge The Beginning

The past few years have been quite a challenge. Ya know being a single mom you don't get a lot of breaks and when things come flying at you you just have to keep going. That has become more and more difficult. For a long time I just kept plugging along no matter what. Then it got harder and harder to just keep on plugging along. Eventually I just got knocked down time and time again. I would go to work and try to do a few activities with my daughter and family and I just couldn't. I lost my job a little over a year ago and it was one of the best things that could have happened to me. I just couldn't go anymore. If I did enjoy myself I paid for it. I'd be in bed for a few days to recover. Being unemployed I finally had time for Doctors visits. I was in for a surprise when I realized how many there would be. After months of appointments and tests I learned that I had a number of ulcers, gall stones and an unhealthy liver. Wow, what a blow! In order to get healthy I will have to make a lot of changes. Most of these changes are diet related. No easy task, everything must change about the way I eat. I have been working on it for months and its had it's ups and downs.

Just a few weeks ago I had a conversation with a friend. She told me about her health issues and I told her about mine. She also told me about the supplements she had been taking and how great she felt. Well, I wanted to feel like she feels. I wanted to have the poor health behind me like she did. Well, she is not just taking these supplements but selling them. Now this is a person I trust totally but we all have that skeptisism. She invited me to her place for more info on the vitamins and company. I did however research everything before I went and was very pleased. She had even left me with some of the healthy weight products and I was very impressed.

The purpose of this blog is to document how things go as I try these products. This past weekend I got knocked down again. My friend came over today and gave me some immune boosters to get me going again. I will also start on a nice variety of vitamins in a couple day. I'll keep you posted.
